I own a version of ImageEn v6.3.0 (I know its old, bought in 2016).
It's an amazing product which I developed an entire GED back in 2016.
I haven't upgraded it because it works so so smoothly and never required maintence, until now.
I need to add OCR feature to the system, in order to convert multipage TIFFs into text (PORTUGUESE/BR).
So I ask, what is the best way to do that using ImageEn? It's OK if I need to buy something else@! I'm not looking to do with the version I already bought!
All my TIFFs looks like this, a bunch of text separeted by a line with somentimes lots of signatures draws over it!
Thanks! |

200DPI should be fine.
To use Portuguese, download the "All Languages (LTSM - Standard)" zip from:
https://www.imageen.com/download/
Add the Portuguese files to the demo EXE folder and restart the demo.

Posted - Jun 09 2023 : 14:15:41 Hi Nigel, I tried with the demo, it worked kinda fine even set to english. I couldnt find how to try in portuguese.
The images are at least 200 dpi when scanned, is it not enough?
Thanks |

Images like this may not be high enough quality for good OCR. You should try out the OCR demos at:

Posted - Jun 08 2023 : 15:23:28 Oh it would be great to do the OCR in selected blocks, in order to link and save the extracted text to the right place! |
