I can easily create this functionality myself by wasting precious coding time. But it would be nice if it was already built-in in TImageEnView:

On TImageEnView, pressing CTRL+V loads the image FILE from the clipboard.

Hi Peter

I'm sorry it's hard to imagine a use case for that. I'm not aware of any application that supports that functionality (other than Windows Explorer). Conversely, dragging and dropping is just as easy and well known behavior of Windows users.

I believe the user should be free to choose how to insert an image. I needed it for my application, so I implemented it.

Sure, though you'll need to educate your users that the feature exists, because it is such an uncommon behavior.

Hi Nigel

I believe that from the common user's point of view, it is entirely natural to paste an image file he has previously copied to the clipboard. Only we developers make that distinction.
